Your First Class

Show Up Ready.
We'll Handle the Rest.

No experience required, no special gear to buy. Just bring athletic clothes, clean shoes, and a willingness to learn. Below is everything you need to know — including a quick video on how to wrap your hands.

What to Wear

The Essentials.

You don't need boxing-specific gear for your first session. Comfortable athletic wear and a clean pair of indoor shoes are all it takes to step on the floor.

01 · Sportswear

Comfortable Athletic Wear

Anything you'd wear to the gym works. Aim for breathable fabric and a fit that lets you move freely through punches, footwork, and warm-ups.

  • T-shirt or athletic top
  • Shorts, joggers, or leggings
  • Avoid jeans or anything restrictive
Tip: Layer if it's cold — you'll warm up fast once we start moving.
02 · Footwear

Running Shoes

A supportive pair of running or cross-training shoes is perfect. Boxing involves a lot of quick footwork, so you want something light and stable.

  • Running, training, or court shoes
  • Snug fit — laces fully tied
  • No open-toe, slides, or worn-out trainers
Tip: If the ball of your shoes is overly worn, consider bringing a new pair to stay comfortable during class.
03 · Hand Wraps

Hand Wraps

If you don't have hand wraps for your first session, drop in to class — we offer wholesale discounted hand wraps for you to buy.

  • Standard 180" wraps
  • Worn under bag gloves to protect your hands
  • Watch the tutorial below to learn the technique
Tip: Ask a coach to check your wraps the first few times — proper tension matters.
Hand Wrap Tutorial

How to Wrap Your Hands The Right Way.

Hand wraps protect the small bones and tendons in your hand and wrist before they ever meet a bag. The technique takes a couple of tries to get smooth — watch the video, then practice along.

  1. 1 Thumb loop & wrist. Anchor the wrap around your thumb, then build a firm base around the wrist.
  2. 2 Knuckles. Wrap across the knuckles to protect the striking surface.
  3. 3 Fingers. Run the wrap between each finger to lock the knuckles in place.
  4. 4 Finish at the wrist. Cross the palm, reinforce the wrist, and secure the Velcro.

Before You Arrive

A Few Quick Tips.

Small things that make your first session smoother for you — and for everyone training around you.

01 · Arrive Early

10 Minutes Before

Give yourself time to check in, change, and meet your coach before warm-ups start.

02 · Hydrate

Drink Water Beforehand

Show up hydrated. Drink water throughout the day and sip during the session — don't chug between rounds.

03 · Eat Light

Fuel, Don't Fill

If you want a big meal, eat at least 4 hours before class. If you forgot, stick to something light like yogurt or just water 1–3 hours before class.

04 · No Jewelry

Leave Rings & Watches

Anything metal comes off before you wrap up. It's safer for you and your training partners.
